On the fringes of the Sahara, the argan groves, natural reserve registered with UNESCO, have existed since Antiquity. At its core, the fruit of the argan tree harbors a nut which contains 1-3 almond like seeds, from which the native women extract, by artisanal methods, an oil of remarkable and multiple benefits. Thanks to the revenues provided by harvesting and processing the argan oil, entire families are supported, their standards of living improved along with the development of infrastructures including literacy courses and medical care in these remote mountain villages.

Look in the mirror. It tells the whole story. Generations of Moroccans believe in its truth. Less expensive, machine-fabricated imitations are on the market today, such as “Moroccan Oil” made in Israel. Do not be confused, as they are not 100% pure organic argan oil, but rather are mixed with other ingredients and chemicals thereby reducing cost but more importantly, effectiveness.

The patina of age is clearly visible on our Moroccan Gift objects, reflecting both the skill of their creator as well as the flaws of the hand-made artifact. Since measurements, colors, and materials are not produced by machines, there will be inconsistencies and variations in each of our categories. We do not sell reproductions. We look for authentic pieces. When we present a recently created item, you will know it has been chosen for its striking beauty or unusual design.
